Haven't had much time to hunt lately due to work so I was really looking forward to a Saturday hunt with Dennis and Earl. Went to a schoolyard and a park in a couple of small towns. Got a strong 12-42 under an Evergreen tree and at 4 inches was a ladies gold pinkie ring. :hello2: It is a ring of hearts and I thought it said 10K but after Earl loaned me his magnifying glass I realized it said "AVON". Oh well! About a foot from the ring dig I got a strong 12-47 and at 6 inches was a very nice 1954 Washington quarter. :headbang: Silver #61 for 2012! We all took a half hour water break because of the heat and then we went back to work. I saw some previously dug plugs next to another tree and I decided to check out the area and see if whomever was there had missed anything. As I swiped over the first plug my E-Trac started to scream 12-45 and it was a solid signal from both directions. I flipped out the old plug and and three inches farther down in the dirt was a shiny 1943-S Merc! I couldn't believe it. :icon_scratch: Silver #62! I was getting pretty hot and tired so I decided to work my way back to the truck by working the tree line. About 6 foot from where I found the ring and the silver quarter I got another silver hit. It was a 1948 Rosie! Silver #63 for 2012. I love this hobby.:occasion14: Happy hunting to all!

Great Hunt, I got a walking half the same way last year .........someone left me a goodie

can't beleive someone left that in the hole... I bet they don't have a pin pointer. If they did they would learn to re scan the hole after you pull something out. One of my last mercs came from first removing a clad coin, rescanning the hole, and a few more inches down was a merc! yay!

It could have been me. I have been known to do that..
Nice finds

Terrific finds!!
