What was there before it was a farm field? I've hunted old farm sites and found little besides iron.

Congratulations on the old coins! Thanks for posting.

You found an old fair or gathering place for sure! Farm fields were used for all sorts of gatherings, fairs, and carnivals in the past - Congratulations!!

I think it was pick your own type of field. The field flood's every spring it's right next to the Connecticut River.

That's an excellent field. 150 silver coins means there was something big happening, probably a circus and people were drunk on cheap beer and dropping their money all over the place.

It's a strange field all the silver coins are in the front half of the field. Nothing much in the back half.

65VanMan, I'm in White Plains. For a shot at that field with you I would buy breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, and a kiss goodnight! :occasion14::tongue3::notworthy:
