Thursdays Hunt - Coppers and Buttons

Got out with Patriot and our other digging buddy last Thursday for the first hunt of the year. Three coppers; 1876 Large Cent, 1820 Trade and Navigation, 1815 John Alexr. Barry Halifax token. Few flat buttons. Lots of other junk not shown. Domed flat button at the bottom left came a few feet from Patriots rev war button, and this one looks like it had a design with possibly a crown at the top - but too far gone to tell. Was great to get out after the winter, even if it did rain half the day and my headphones kept cutting in an out, probably missed a few targets because of them!

Your pile looks like my sad little pile from my first outing on the weekend.
It's not so much the finds but getting a shot at some awesome potential, I think you'll do pretty good this year, just keep doing what you're doing!

Yup, it'll probably clean up pretty decently as well. I never mind a good newfie coin.

Yep, I don't mind a crusty copper, as some days you might get none, as long as there is the "chance".

Don't know how I miss some of these post…even from my own detecting bud!…. I lucked out that day but guess we all had a fair shake at it...
