That's awesome about the Krugerand! If you found it after you joined the boards here you should do an individual post about it. You would get banner for sure! Especially if you've only been detecting a few months.

I found that if I get a faint, not repeatable signal and I attack that same signal from a different side I get a better and diggable signal. Going too fast u may miss that faint signal

Everything pictured is from a public park near my house. Majority of the coins were found under the swings in the wood chips.

I WISH I'd find more relics...or old coins...but, I'm stuck on my 1 silver count so far...but clad, well, I'm pretty close to 150$...after I go out today, ill be over that for sure....have found quite a few wheaties... But my hunting spot, catecorner from my house has SOoo0ooO0oo much trash its insane... Gota get that 5x8 dd for my atp....hopefully within the week ill have it and an abundance of silver to stash...all my coins come from parks, near parking areas and big trees ppl sit under/lean against....or totlots in the wood chips and/or sand... Or in swimming areas in lakes or rivers... I've yet to find good gold....got q bunch of fake tho, cpl earrings, few rings, bracelet charms... ...ull find coins... Just envision finding a cache of coins every time you pack your gear to go...and you will find that cache...more likely than not, one coin at a time.. patience good sir....it will get you places, and RICH...one zincoln at a time lol

I moved out of ware back before I was into detecting but I've long thought about how good some of them would be up there. Those old factories on the river downtown have got to have some awesome stuff still waiting. ;p
