Hi all having fished all up and down the coast of Newport Mon where I live I m going to be detecting all over at low water as I took up detecting a few years ago and have a fair bit of knowledge of the tidal area where safe etc who knows probably lots in the mud and gravel.. two chances!

Good luck Russ. Let us know if you find anything.

sure will cheers. the Bristol channel has a high rise and fall its a powerful bit of water, must have sent a few vessels down at one time or another plus there was a lot of Roman activity at one time....

Good luck, russ!
Please consider wearing an inflatable life jacket and carrying a waterproof handheld VHF radio. Just in case something detains you when the tide starts coming in, I want you to be able to tell how scary it was.
Stay safe, score big!

With 3500+ years of intense maritime activity and a 30 foot plus tidal range you are bound to make some incredible finds. You are going to be a very happy mud-lark!

Sure will thanks:icon_thumright:
