Two hour hunt very rough water had to stay in just wet sand. But it did yield my first timex

is it a wind up ? or does it take a battery ?, the fossil watch I found was in the water so long the battery died, I threw a new one in and started working

It's was battery but it fell apart when I tried to clean it off.
