Cool little token! Love that patina it has developed!
Found this little snippet: NH 640 A - (Manchester, 1940) - Public Service Company of N.H. ( torch) / One Fare - WM 16mm - 50¢

That's about all I could find as well. I'm curious where they were purchased and how long they were used. I'd assume they were for bus fares?

Nice token, I have a bunch from when I was a kid. If you can go along Union St. The busses used to stop all along that road. I found all mine right at the old bus stops where we used to wait for school bus to pick us up. Today you would probably get yelled at for detecting along the sides of Union St.
