Tiny lock

A buddy found this at a site that I have found strictly 1850 relics,anybody know where it might date??

It is called a Barrel Key padlock. I found this bigger one a few weeks back.



It took a key that looked like this:

I know it predates the 1870's, but that is all I know.

I have found many locks,but never one this small and with the exact markings.It does have the "VR".I have found several with that as well "Victoria Regina"?I believe?

Nice little lock
Here's one with same shape - slightly different cover plate and different markings, but probably similar age.
Is the size identical - 1" X 1 1/2" ?
