I have another. It's heavy plastic and about 5 inches long not counting hooks. It has eyes, gills and fins molded right into the plastic and had some sort of material on the tail which is no longer there. The belly hook hanger is recessed really deep and it swivels. Never saw hardware like that. No name or numbers on it anywher. Thanks for looking!

Is it made out of wood, or something else?

It is a red and white plug/popper lure used for largemouth bass and other game fish.

We call them poppers, and use them for bass of the top.

Yeah, it's heavy plastic, I was trying to figure out he manufacturer and the name of the lure. I know it's a plug or popper but I was looking for the specific name of the lure. I'll try googling some old Heddon plugs to see if I can find it. I've just never seen one with the fins etc. molded into the lure body. This one also has the white head and red body; usually it's the other way around.

It looks a little big for a bass plug
Likely for a much larger fresh water lake fish due to it being a popper

It's solid plastic, heavy, with no writing or markings on it anywhere. My eyes are getting sore from looking at pics of liures. :)
Here's another pic to try and show the moded in fins and the deep, swiveling hardware for the belly hook.

The lure is almost unique, unlike the other similar lures it has a white head with red tail, tack eyes on top of the head, slanted face to make it dive, and two red spots near the leading hook.
