The only gold looking anything.i found. I'm 600 ft above.the coosa river Alabama nothing but granite and its cousins on this mountain. What is this called... please and thank you

Looks like Mica in quartz

The smaller piece (lower right)... Is it soft?
Can you score it with a fingernail? Does it feel waxy?
If so, it may be talc.
