WOW!!!....I discovered these relics and more within about 6 hours in an area about the size of a bonus room. I have already identified the True Whig button, but several of the items I am unsure about. Does anyone know what the silver ornate item is? or the rusty button with some sort of animal on it?....this sport is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

wow, those are really cool. I really love the details on the last pic.

Very nice relics you found there. That silver item sort of looks like a picture of a grist mill and a bridge to the right of it. Great item for sure. Are you from Tennessee? Thanks for sharing the great finds with us and great pics too. Good luck on your next hunt.

Oh, welcome to TreasureNet

Really interesting items! You said you "discovered" them. Are they on display someplace so maybe you can get some more pictures? Or did you dig them yourself? Thanks for sharing! -Noodle

Very Nice Buttons!

Yes I dug them in an open field in Tennessee. there are about 800 more acres left to look. I can take pics of anything you would like to see. There is an interesting finial, some type of spear head and two casings one marked 'F' and one marked 'US' ...both about the size of .22cal only shorter and appear to be brass.

We want to see them close up! Sounds like you had a wonderfully productive hunt! Yes, we like to see details and hear details. Share some more info on your finds. They look splendid! Don't forget the hunting details, too. We're starved for info on how folks find things. Were they deep? You can't get by with scant info and details here. We want the REAL dirt!! :D :)

Welcome to Tnet, Danny!! :)

I love looking at the relics. That was a great hunt for you. :o

Re: TN Relics Galore WOW...MORE PICS...YES!

Thanks alot you guys are great. I will take some better pics and post today or tomorrow. I did find a few coins but nothing major...a 1947 Silver Quarter in absolutely mint condition, a 1944 and a 1930 wheat penny....but I am sure that they were just serendipitous. All of these things were found in one small area in Tennessee....I mean very small about 12' by 12'. I am new to the sport and was driving in one of our fields (about 300 acres) trying to figure out where to look. I had read to begin by an old tree so I did and BINGO.....amazing. The first thing that I found was a very old horseshoe at 5.5" down and I knew that had to be a good sign. I am going back today and tomorrow....I will let you all know what else I find. Here are a few more pics. Check out the cartridges with "F" and "US" on them. Are these CW?

Awesome digs there. Do you know any of the History of the sight you are searching? How long have you owned the land ?
