Tnet group hunt at civil war site

Had some great weather and squeezed a few more finds out of a pounded site with Wv1978 and bladerunner2019. I didn’t get a picture of Wv1968’s find and the one I dig get of mine and bladerunner’s is pretty blurry.
We both found some bullets and flat buttons. I found a 1890 Indian right after I shovel chopped it. Haha. Bladerunner managed a silver merc on his last hole!
The copper/brass piece has a “US” stamped into it but I have no clue
what it was. Anyone have any ideas?
Also if anyone knows what the lead and crusty/iron thing is, let me know. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks.

The one with the numbers is I believe. The one that is lead with an iron back is the unknown.
