I’m in NJ on a metal detecting vacation. Treblehunter has been kind enough to take me hunting for a couple of days. I sincerely appreciate his generousity.

Today’s hunt was an all star cast of TNet members, it included Smokey The Cat, Bartek & Scrappy. It was cold and windy, but I believe a good time was had by all. Some nice coins and relics appeared, and luckily today I found stuff, so I didn't look like a hack in front of everyone.

Today’s spots were farm fields. Really easy place to hunt.

I found my first trime today!

That alone would have made for a nice day. However, it got better. I stumbled across a nice high tone, deep but repeatable, I had a hole big enough for a basketball to fit in, by the time I was done. My efforts were rewarded with a thin grayish disc. I just knew it had to be Spanish silver! I rushed over to Bartek, and he confirmed that indeed I had just found my second ever Spanish real.

I accidentally found a fat IHC too, so here are all of the coins I dug today, a total of three.

Man am I tired, one more day in NJ, and I will retreat to the Shenandoah Valley, for a little rest and relaxation.

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your hunts!

That road trip was well worth it. Congrats on the sweet finds. To bad you couldn't bring up some warm weather for us up here in the N.E.

All that noise you made in that field disturbed my nice quiet hunt, but I couldn’t be happier for you bruddah. I didn’t know you could hop and click your heels, and do perfect pirouettes, but now I do.

Congrats on to winner finds bro.

You did super well CT. Nicely done on that old silver! Hope you find some more goodies before heading south again.

Great day Tom! Love the threesome. Hopefully I will get too see you click your heals soon. See you Thursday Bud.

Yes, when you found that reale, people heard you as far away as Philadelphia and New York, and several seismographs went off in the area! It was a great day. I have yet to clean my stuff up. I got three coins. (Now I have to go figure out where everything is and find my Andres' Pencils to clean up the coppers.)

Great big thanks to Brad for the opportunity. Next fall - my CW spot!

Damn man that's a great day out! Two killer 1sts for you, congrats brother. Oh by the way........

Go sit in the truck!:tongue3:

Well done Tom, what a day that you had and certainly one to remember for many moons to come. Congrats on the beauties.:occasion14:

Congrats on those finds Tom. :icon_thumleft: Glad to see that you pulled a few from the fields.

See you in VA bro for some of that rest and relaxation. :occasion14:

Tom, those three would all been 1st for me! Totally awesome my friend and congrats! Deb was probably right about hearing your excitement and rightly so. A pretty cool hunt turned into awesome very quickly for you. So, Sir, I believe that you have a flat and not folded Spanish silver now. Very happy for you, now find some gold!

I’m looking forward to seeing you. If my heels clicked together, it was an accident. I did jump (4” high) and yell a few choice words about my complete dominance of the planet. I was very excited, to say the least.

That house in that field must have burned down. Both those coins look burned, FYI. I see it sometimes. Ones outside the fire would be more silvery looking.

A great hunt with swell other t-netters.

It was a real pleasure to meet you. I’ve “seen” you on TNet for many years, and admired your finds, so it was good to get to swing the coil next to you today. Glad that you could make it.

Hopefully you will post your finds, as you got good stuff too.

Looks like a very pleasant spot to hunt indeed. Congrats on some great finds!

Sounds like everyone had a great time and lots of laughs. Lots of nice finds. Congrats!

That's quite an stellar crew you were hunting with. No slackers in that grouping. Congrats on your first trime, and ( of course) the Spanish piece of silver....very, very nice!
