I’m in NJ on a metal detecting vacation. Treblehunter has been kind enough to take me hunting for a couple of days. I sincerely appreciate his generousity.

Today’s hunt was an all star cast of TNet members, it included Smokey The Cat, Bartek & Scrappy. It was cold and windy, but I believe a good time was had by all. Some nice coins and relics appeared, and luckily today I found stuff, so I didn't look like a hack in front of everyone.

Today’s spots were farm fields. Really easy place to hunt.

I found my first trime today!

That alone would have made for a nice day. However, it got better. I stumbled across a nice high tone, deep but repeatable, I had a hole big enough for a basketball to fit in, by the time I was done. My efforts were rewarded with a thin grayish disc. I just knew it had to be Spanish silver! I rushed over to Bartek, and he confirmed that indeed I had just found my second ever Spanish real.

I accidentally found a fat IHC too, so here are all of the coins I dug today, a total of three.

Man am I tired, one more day in NJ, and I will retreat to the Shenandoah Valley, for a little rest and relaxation.

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your hunts!

Two very tough coins to find in one hunt. Very nice👍

Excellent recoveries Tom, I would have been dancing with results like those. A Trime and Sweet Spanish Silver. Good for you. I'm so sorry I couldn't make this trip. Maybe if you guys are kind enough to invite me again,, I'll try to make it.
Congratulations

Yes, when you found that reale, people heard you as far away as Philadelphia and New York, and several seismographs went off in the area! It was a great day. I have yet to clean my stuff up. I got three coins. (Now I have to go figure out where everything is and find my Andres' Pencils to clean up the coppers.)

Great big thanks to Brad for the opportunity. Next fall - my CW spot!
I heard him in Missouri....I didn't answer because I was to busy working...and crying...:tongue3:

P.S. Can Someone find my FIRST SPANISH coin for me so I don't look so bad?...we don't have to tell anybody....oooops...typed that out loud...

Congrats on those silvers. Next time we want to see the happy dance on film :tongue3:

Way to go Tom :occasion14: A couple of sweet old silvers with good friends. I dug my first trime a few weeks ago and it was a big surprise... I thought it was a half real for a minute. Enjoy your recuperating R&R in the valley man.
