to those bh 505 and sharpshooter owners are you able to use in saltwater

Hello everyone I own a Bounty hunter Pioneer 505 and use it mostly at the beaches here in San Diego. I have found it to be a good dry sand machine but when it gets near the water it goes crazy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Ted

Yea salt water seems to a pain for a lot of BH models. I have seen someone use a Sharpshooter with a 4 inch coil and he was having good luck. I have a 3300 and I had to turn down the sensitivity and turn the ground balance to use it in the wet sand. I tested my 3300 vs someone using an old whites and he could pick up signals in wet sand I couldn't even read as iron 1 depth 10 or hear on pinpoint mode.
