Today At Tilly's Hill 10 - 13 - 14

I went out to my site today to get in a hunt before the rain comes in later this week . I did a little screening and found a few Gunther cluster bird points and some old Dart Points and a glass trade bead . I also found a piece of red ochre with a small hole worn into it maybe to remove pigment ? and a earring ? looks to be 1900s . Thanks the black point is Basalt and the other is shale I think .

Dang boss you racked up some great pieces thanks for posting !!!!

Basalt then is the material I find. Wasn't ever sure the proper name of it. Thanks

So how do you think the pendant got mixed in the hole? Is it gold or silver

Really nice finds, like those birdpoints!

Its just gold plating there was a old homestead / ranch that burned to the ground on this site . We find a lot of glass and square nails mixed with the arrowheads all the way to hardpan . Its like sifting an old dump lol .

Interesting cause I find some stuff like that out in the field I hunt in 3 different spots. Probably cant dig there though. Its out in the open and the owner wouldn't want it I don't believe. You sure make it tempting for me to ask though seeing all of that artifacts you find.

You found some very nice artifacts (again!). I'm jealous!!!!!!!

You are cleaning up!Makes me want to give the sifting a shot too.Whatever exactly you are doing, don't stop. That is a killer hunt!
