... In 4 months. It is also my birthday but it was high time I got a haircut. Just finished a box of dimes I got yesterday and I found nothing, I searched a box of quarters yesterday because others on here have had some good finds but, same old same old, I found no silver, I did get a few state quarters I didn't have before so it isn't all bad. On Tuesday we got out of school at 1:00 so a friend and I went to a mall to get lunch and some coins. The bank in the mall only had $5 in pennies they could give me so I got $60 in nickels plus the pennies. Out of that my friend and I found a decent amount of copper and nickel, 1942 nickel, 1949 nickel, 3 1964 nickels, 1961 nickel, 1943 penny, 1967 centennial nickel, 7 young queen elizabeth pennies and a 1963 D american nickel. My friend also found a dime in a nickel roll so I would say it was a good find. Also last week my dad found a 1951 wheat in his change.

Good finds in those nickel rolls. One question. Is 1942 nickel - nickel or tombac?
Also check those 1964s for extra waterline variety. Worth 20$ in VF condition.

The 1942 was nickel. The only tombac I have found was 55 1943s the tellers saved for me, they said some old guy brought them in, that was in september.
And I am fully aware of the extra water line variety but none I have found so far were.

And ImpurestStewart my hair wasn't that long and never will be, hopefully.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures.

I am seeking a barber.

Always nice, when tellers save good stuff for you :icon_thumright:
In my case, I have yet to find my first tombac nickel. So far I have found: 12 sided nickels of all kinds, 12 sided steel nickels, King George V nickels, but no tombac whatsoever :(
However you never know what you will find. The best thing is to keep hunting

BTW: spell checker tries to put "combat" instead of tombac, but I'll never let him to do that :laughing7:
