I have been reading on here for 2 days, And was lke this sounds fun, So I woke up today and went to my local bank and asked for 25 in pennies, and 70 in halves. They said goto the main branch for halves, which is 1 block away, So i carried my 25 in pennies to the car. Then on the way to the main branch. I see an old man as i was entering, and he was leaving, I went an asked for my 70 in halves, the teller said Here ya go, I was like wow, 70 in halves and 25 in pennies I am going to have a fun night, She asked me do you like looking for old coins, I said yes Ma'am I do. She then told me the main just brought in 60 dollars in old wrapped pennies. I then told her I would take em.
I found 60+ wheat pennies,
25+ canadian pennies
1 penny from the bahamas

THe pennies the old man brought in None was after the year 1990, Most were 1959-1969
Thanks
Tim

What were the results for the halves? I see the open rolls but no results.

Welcome aboard Tim.

That was a darn good haul on those pennies. It sounds like you went in that bank just at the right time. WTG. Keeping posting those finds & good luck with the CRH'ing.

Halves were none before 71, I am not sure what to look for other than that. I am new,
Ok very new, I have only known of CRH for a couple days, Is there anything after including 71 and after to look for?
Thanks
Tim

I have a few wheats from the late 50's that I found like that. One of my best boxes ever had 7 of the 1955-S that were at least AU and all bright red, but just 1955-S no other dates like that in that box. It's like someone just opened the roll to cash it in. The rest of the roll must have gone into other boxes.
