So I went on a little road trip around town hitting some banks down a major blvd. I had been meaning to hit up for a while. Nothing in about $30 of loose halves. I decided to call a couple other wells fargo branches than my usual 2 and 1 had 1 box and the other had 2 boxes of halves so I went over and snagged them.

Box 1: Skunk except it had a gold plated bicentennial half? I dont think its real gold, anyone ever see these before? its in my pic below
Box 2: 1962 Franklin, 1965, 1967, 1968-D, and 2 BU 1987-P's , my first 1987's so I was pretty happy about that + the great condition they are in
Box 3: Skunk
also had 8 NIFC between the 3 boxes.

Bigheed

Nice score!!!!

I'd love to find another Ben. The gold plate is interesting. I've never seen one before.

You are a lucky dog on the 87's!!! I still haven't found one of those either!

I got two gold-plated and a chromed (maybe white-gold? it's sorta straw colored...) in a box of someone else's dumps recently.

I've probably found six of those gold plated coins. I thought I read they were real gold, but the amount is so small their not really worth any more than face value. I still keep them though. Nice job finding that Ben :icon_thumright:
