Today's Boxes of Halves: 11/03/11

I had been thinking about upping my volume of halves from 2 boxes a week to 4 boxes. Another poster here encouraged me to do so, and even though dumping is still hard in this small town, I finally took a leap of faith to find more silver.

Here are my results...

Box 1:
1967

Box 2:
Skunk

Box 3:
Skunk

Box 4:
Skunk

I was afraid that I would be doubling my skunk rate when I upped my box order...and it came to pass.

I ran into the same problem, and cut my weekly 2 boxes down to 1. Wouldn't you know it, the first week of only 1 box and I hit a minor silver vein. Had I gotten the second box I may well have gotten more silver that week. I upped it back to 2 boxes a week, and has been skunk city ever since.

Bottom line, yes, you might double your skunk rates, but you also will double your find rate. I'd say do whatever volume you can afford to dump.

Thank you for the replies, fellas.

My skunk box rate is high. I just went through a 33 box skunk streak.

I have to admit that I often think about quitting the boxes. With the 33 box skunk streak that I just had, I was on the verge of giving up, until one box produced my first Walking Lib and 3 40's.

I was so exited to find that Walker. Isn't it funny how one coin can energize and motivate you?
