Met up with DKinPA, whitesPA, BJW, & Mike in Berks today For a Hunt.

Shortly after I arrived I saw one of the neighbors at the lake heading towards
DK & I.
When he got there he opend his Hands & Showed us Hands full Of Colonial
coppers & a 1850's seated Half that was Toned so bad He thought it
May Be Counterfeit. I believe it is possable as it almost had a rust color.

He also Told us he is an Archaeologist & detectorist & Invited us over to see his
Extensive Collection. DK was in a Hurry to start Swinging, But You know me
any chance to View Artifacts I'm In. So I went over & knocked.

Looked at walls of Displays Etc. of arrow Heads, & other Indian artifacts
Clay Pipes, Axes, Gun parts, Thimbles Etc. Etc. Got My Blood flowing For sure.

I invited Him to treasureNet he said he May take me up
on it & Show Off his finds.

Anyway.

To the hunt. All of Us found at least One Keeper today.

for me I only got about 2 Hours in the heat the rest of the day
was a Gab session.

No Gas Rebate today.

are you going to track down the owner of that slipper and marry her?
or is that an english fairytail :icon_scratch:

Forget the slipper, marry the lady who once wore the flapper hat!
Great story; great hunt! :)

Alot of them Flapper girls were Hotties in their day

Thanks !

You need to tell us more! Or, have I missed something?
Why did "they" drain what appears a lake; are they planning on deepening it?
Did anyone hunt under and alongside the bridge?
Looks to me like an excellent place to find some neat keepers.

Unfortunatly DEP is watching them Like a Hawk Just waiting for them
to do more then allowed & Won't let them
dredge the last 2 feet of Mud out the Bottom.
Something to do with Wetlands ???
which means in 10 years
it will need to be drained & Dredged again
If Draining & Dredging isn't outlawed
by the Tree Huggers by that time.
So alot of rings, coins & small finds will stay where they are.

Nice day out Jeff! HH, Mike

Thanks Everyone

The slipper is a rare and thought provoking artifact.

Does it still smell like feet?

Closest I can find on the COTY BALI AIRSPUN ROUGE
Looks like c30's

Although François Coty died in 1934, the company had been set on a firm foundation with a stong committment to technical innovation. Air Spun Powder arrived in stores in 1935 and was an immediate success.
Coty registered the trademark for Airspun Face Powder in 1914. Originally it was marketed in a number of various presentations

Jeff, that Cody compact is very neat! There's probably a ton of cool things out there.

Take care,
