Todays finds 3/27/09

Today I went out to my fav park, (Lola Valley Park) I was hunting an old ice rink (no longer used) All the while hunting I kept hearing geese fighting. I found a 1942-D Merc. a squashed silver ring, and 18 wheats. And got an awesome video of a treed goose having it out with 2 on the ground........NGE

That was a nice ring at one time and the silver is always nice. Good goose shots. We saw one nesting atop the entrance area above a hospital doorway. It nested in gravel and used the gravel for a nesting material--weird. Has done it for years they said.

When they say "goose down" they don't mean feathers--they mean look up or the goose will fly down on you!
