Spent a couple hours on a rocky little section of beach and hit the lotto! First ever Merc, four wheaties and some other change. Also what appears to be a handle of some sort with “ROYAL U.S.” on it.. fairly heavy, and was 6-8inches down in sand and saltwater and I pulled it out just as clean as it is now... any thoughts? Hopefully my pictures come
Through..

Butterknife.

Military or prison (institutional cutlery supplier).

Congrats on your first Mercury dime. Hopefully many more will follow.

I never get tired of seeing the tell-tale beach greyish black silver coins in my scoop :)
