I love arrowheads, that bottom one is a keeper! Nice small game/bird point on the top photo too. I, in addition to metal detecting do flint knapping and go to knap-ins and such. You should post these pictures on the knappers r us website, they'd go ape-y over them. Too bad "points" don't register on the md, that would open up a whole new aspect to detecting!

Thanks for the pics-- always wondered what technique was used to find arrowheads. Looks like no digging is involved for you on this trip. Bet its not always that easy!!

Nice finds you have there. I always look forward to seeing what else you have found in those creek beds. I've often thought of taking my kids out to look for arrowheads, but have not gotten around to it yet. I will probably seed the ground with a couple of my own workings and drop them when they aren't looking.

I live on a dead end road. only 2 houses beyond me, and the road is at the bottom of a valley with really steep hills on either side. Anyway, a friend of mine lives where you turn onto my road from another one. He has found several arrowheads in his yard while working.

Just behind my house (and all around) are outcroppings of rock. Perfect for making arrowheads.

I keep my eyes open when wandering around. I have yet to find any, but then I own over 10 acres of heavy forest land, mostly on steep hills. So there is hope for the future.

Wish I had sites to go to where I could mind that much in a day!! The area I live in is in the bottom of what was a glacial lake, now it's mostly flat sandy areas and didn't have a high pre-historic population so I have to do a lot of walking just to find one or two. What you found there would constitute an excellent day for me!!! Most I ever found in one day was 10 (including broken ones) the average is probably one.
