Hit an old beach site for the first time today.The skeeters used me as the mid-day buffet.Got encouraged when I dug the musketball,the smaller lead was about 1 foot away from the larger one.Was there small caliber lead way back then?The lead on the right looks like it came from a modern hand gun.The marble is for sizing only.What caliber would that musketball be?Any web site that I can use for future references.Was hoping for old silver or LC's maybe next time. Thanks HH

Nice finds. The musket ball looks like a .54 or .58 caliber.
