Todays hunt...silver and gold?

Took a break from CW relic hunting today to go to a local park and coin hunt. Found a sterling silver sports medal from 1934 and a wedding band that is stamped inside 14 KZ. The ring seems to be white gold. Any ideas on what KZ means?

Heh Quindy, That is hopefully the plan for this coming weekend...weather permitting. We have about worked the picket post out...finds are few and far between now. We will probabely go looking for a cavalry camp nearby that I have researched and searched for for several years...think we are getting close. Bill

I wonder if the medal initials mean: "Ohio High School Athletic Association"? Might be a angle to search if you feel like it.

I think it means it it Plated , KZ— Highly Fluorinated Plated Copper or other metal .
I am not positive on this , but I have been told by a Pro in Ring making that this is what it meant.
Though I do know from my Chemistry that the KZ is for the Fluoridation process that is used for Items that I do not want to post here.
But also for plating of metals .
