Today's hunt with Sanddigger

We went back to the site where I found that nice VA button last week. I decided to switch to a small coil for a change and see if I could pull any nice ones out of all the iron and trash. I ended up digging quite a few targets, but never came across that one great find. I did come up with what appears to be a colonial coin of some sort, but it's in real bad shape. It's soaking in warm peroxide but I doubt that helps. Ina takes the prize again with a beautiful cob she dug in the first 10 min of the hunt. I think my nickname needs to be "rabbit's foot" as that's what I seem to be for all my hunting partners lately. But with all the time I'm putting in it shouldn't be long before I pass my coil over a good one, hopefully!

WOW, someone did some work on that wheat penny. That took some time. Nice hunt Bill. HH

Great finds, love the lock!

I agree that lock is a really cool find..

Looks like all the colonial coppers I've dug(but 1) this year! lol Nice hunt fellas.

Nice digs. I am liking that 1919 wheatie !

I think a blank copper is better than no copper at all. The silver helps pay for the day too.

Great assortment of relics. Congrats

Well, you proved that there was more to be found. Not a bad day, and any of those signals could have been another stunning Virginia button. Nice finds.
