Well who would have figured that after work today I was back at the same intown site I was hunting yesterday ! There is still alot of cleanup left on this site but I will keep hitting it till the siginals stop. I picked up 2 toasted Indians 2 buckles and some sort of pewter piece ! And the nice looking Floral designed buckle with the markings ( C. ROWLEY ) And the word patent on the reverse . . Hopefully this will help me obtain an acurate date of the piece ! Thanks for looking ! MaineRelic.

Excactly what Mike said

That buckle is a great find. I have a similar one. I'd say pre 1850 on that one.

some great relics! good luck on your future hunts!

Great relics and banner find! :icon_thumleft: I think your C. Rowley buckle piece might be from England - found this reference to a 1853 Patent by C. Rowley of Birmingham for "Improvements in Ornamental Dress Fastenings"

Rowley of Birmingham for "Improvements in Ornamental Dress Fastenings" Thanks Bramble I did not find that reference to C. Rowley But I did find out the company opened in Birmingham England in 1830 and it said he patented the tube shaped trumbone safety catch for buckles ?? So it is a pre to civil war era womens fashion buckle !! MaineRelic
