Today's mystery item

I found the brass stuff in a street tearout project in an area where a Civil War battle took place. I though the round object was a breast plate, but it turned out to be too small. I've examined it and cant seem to get any detail on whats on the object from it being so beat up

Looks like a 1902 barber half to me Nah just kidding might be a piece of an ammo box, b/c of the rolled lip dunno best of luck to ya though.

Yes, either that or perhaps a bridle rosette...although I think the lip is wrong for it to be that. Is there any trace of a lead backing on the item?
