Today's pottery finds 10-28-18

Tried to change the date in the title but it's being stubborn lol

No points today but did find some pottery. Anyone have any idea what type of markings are on the large rim piece, it also appears on the inside and I want to say it's paddle stamped with maybe some sort of fabric . I'll be researching that one for sure. Thanks for looking! HH

That's the color after it dried. Here they are not quite dried out.

The temper is quartz and soapstone which is common to Burke Phase in this area.

I think you are right. Maybe they held the cords on the interior with their fingers and then wrapped over the rim and around the top of the exterior. Thanks!

After looking at it closer and talking with another pottery collector it's looking more like some type of punctate instead of cord...still researching
