Todays Results. 5/3/2014 silver was found.
THESE RESULTS ARE FOR 5/3/2014. The thread title says Its for the 4th.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5 Hand wrapped rolls of cents and 2 plastic see through rolls gave up 4 wheats.
11 MWR (Paper) of cents: 6 wheats, including a 1947 S, a 1929 being the oldest, and one Canadian cent from 1958. 3 were in one roll and I was happy.
Box of Cents: 10 Wheats, Oldest 1942. Pretty blugh box.
2 Hand wrapped rolls of nickels: 2 "pre 60". 1955 D and 1957 D.
2 MWR of nickels: One "pre 60". A 1947 no mint mark.
Box of nickels: 33 Generic "pre 60" including 2 1939 both no mint mark and no doubling, a 2009, and a 1943 P War nick in decent shape. Probly grades VG. This was a pretty good box of nickels for me. Could have been much better, could have been way worse.
17 MWR (Loomis) of halves: Skunk.
Register finds: One wheat cent. I think it was a 56 D. I cant remember everything. Definitely nothing special.
Good luck to everyone else, and also, what would you say produces better averages when looking for silver dimes or halves? Clear plastic see through rolls of dimes or Paper ones? Brinks black and white rolled halves or Loomis yellow paper ones?
