Today's River Find

Found this today, it seems to be the same type of shell thing I picked up before and thought was a bone. Shell Celt. It's an interesting piece from the river, lots of lines on it and patina. This one was used a lot from its condition.

Shell thing.. ha ha. Did you ever figure out what it...they..is..are.? The bit on that one is broken off. That's common.

Yes I did figure it out, with some help of course. It appears this one was used and abused, worked very hard in its day. It must have been a favorite.

Found a dugout canoe close to there after hurricane Francis. Before the seawall was built.

Called the Martin county historical society. It was part of the ground. I mean tree roots were growing through it.
