On the right top it looks like I see a partial word EARS.

This may be the kind of thing that benefits from being dusted with flour, then wiping away the excess, to help bring the details out. I think the side with the sunburst looking thing may benefit from this more so, based on the construction of it.

It kind of reminds me of the 1787 Fugio Cent... maybe a counterfeit? :icon_scratch:

"On April 21, 1787, the Congress of the Confederation of the United States authorized a design for an official copper penny, later referred to as the Fugio cent because of its image of the sun shining down on a sundial with the caption, "Fugio". This coin was reportedly designed by Benjamin Franklin; as a reminder to its holders, he put at its bottom the message, "Mind Your Business." The image and the words form a rebus meaning that "time flies, do your work." This design was also used on the "Continental dollar" in February 1776."

Ass end of Fayette County... funny description. It definitely looks like a 1800’s token. Most tokens I find are connected to shops / businesses in the biggest nearby city, for me Pittsburgh. Not sure which end is the ass end, but maybe google nearby prominent towns (well established in the mid 1800’s) and tokens, or hard times tokens. A match might pop up for you.

Arent there any counties or cities or other institution around that have a sunburst?

I found e.g. Ohio and Amherst College. Maybe an old college reminder?

It maybe a jeton / calcualtion coin.

I have a feeling this is a find worth of identification....

Looks like "Years" and maybe "of" below it. Like a an anniversary or service token.
