Congratulations on another good hunt. I believe your dog tag is actually a 2006 tag with a registration number of 1936. Those types of tags around here have the date up by the hole with half on one side of the hole and the rest on the other side. It looks to me like a 20 on one side and an 06 on the other. I’m no expert, but I have found dozens of them dated that way over the years.

Thanks tnt! I'll bet you are right, they didn't really make them out of aluminum back then, and the aluminum doesn't usually hold up in the ground that long without some severe corrosion. I've looked at and photographed that a dozen times and missed it. Good catch.
