they look like the waste material from an industrial punch machine...dunno really.

They look more like bag seals. I find a lot of them at old ghost-town sites.

They look like the zinc seals they used in bottles. We find them in large numbers in the ghost towns around here. Also found lots of them in ghost towns in Nevada.
