Took a Sunday drive

I took a Sunday drive today, we had nice rains
& washed away the haze, it was a beautiful day.
Pics are bootleggers house, where a man sold
whiskey to the Choctaw indians years ago, stone
shed, (money was dug up here once).
It is on the state line of AR, & OK.
Other pic is the state line road, funny thing is,
now the Choctaws have large casinos, & sell booze
to the white man.
Other pic's are old barn, horses, hay meadow, old
truck, (1943 chevrolet).

It really was, just driving the backroads'
& getting away from the 'hustle & bustle'.

I had giant mud-holes on the road to my
fossil grounds, so took a nice detour.

The truck pic caught my eye also....be a good 'un for someone to restore. I kept thinking about that stone shed. If one could buy it, dismantle and reassemble it, it'd look great in the back yard!

Great country roads. I love the way they do the hay bails now a days, adds more character to the fields, makes for better pictures. Those old structures are great.

Ahh Wes don't go giving Gypsy any ideas, she'll have it set up right next to her store !

The landowner said the old truck still runs, I have
thought someone would restore it also.
The shed was where he stored his whiskey, also a well
inside, my mom, who is 88, can remember a man with
a wooden leg, who was shot in the vicinity, when she
was a girl.
I can remember the last family who lived there, they
had about 13 kids.
I know the present landowner, I will try to get
permission to detect this winter.
Shed would be nice in your yard.

You are right about the hay bales, they leave them
for awhile, as opposed to hauling them the same day
they are baled.
Now I guess I will have to 'guard' the shed. :P
