Took another load to the casino (Jan 8)

I took a bunch of half dollars to the casino and got bills for them. While there I found 12 - 40% silver halves in the coins from slots. Wahoo

do all .50c slot machines accept halves? Cause I was just wondering how you cash in your halves @ a casino? and do all casinos allow this? Thanks for any help you could provide.

baseballbandits, I load up my coat pockets with half dollars and go in to the casino. I am not trying to hide anything, I just do that cause I feel stupid carrying them in a bag. I play a little bit and then cash the others out. There are cameras everywhere so they know what I am doing. They don't care. At the casino I go to, most of the half dollar slots are coin operated. Some are paper ticket slots.

I have never been to a casino and I was actually thinking about trying to play a little slots. Does the machine spit out half dollars when you win sometimes even silver ones?

baseballbandits, even if you are not a big gambler, what you can do is stick a $100 bill in a slot machine and hit the cash out button. Then inspect the coins as they come out for the silver dates. Then take them to the cage and get bills.

If you can find a casino that still takes coins and spits them back out as well. The last time I played actual coins was quarter slots at the Westward Ho on the Vegas strip. They closed it back in October of '05.

Since then I haven't seen a machine that takes coins.
