Tot Lot Silver

HaveFaith · May 19, 2007

I found this 1963 Rosie dime at a tot lot on Thursday. It was down maybe 3 in. and is in beautiful condition. It looks like it was minted yesterday.
I also found a canadian 1 cent. It has a bird on the coin and says 1867-1967. I have never seen one of these. Any info would be appreciated. Do they hold any value other than 1 cent?
Thanx in advance.

Great digs !!

Nice... Sure am partial to that 1963 as that is the year I was hatched... Maybe the two dates are indicative of a centennial...

Nice finds Eileena! That is the "Canadian Goose" cent. Here's a good link:

Oops! I read that wrong. It's the "Rock Dove" cent.

Hey, nice finds. I found one of those Canadian pennies the other day too. I remember when they came out...we used to travel between NY state and Michigan back then and I used to have quite a few of them...have no idea where they are (probably the ex wife got them).
