It weighs 6.5g and is as big around as a quarter. Pretty sure it's silver. It was found on an old beach that hasn't been used in years. Not a lot of detail to go on, one side is totally gone. You can click on the pics to see a larger version. Thanks for looking:icon_thumright:

Must test for silver... looks like it... but gotta know. Prolly silver quarter.... one that was beamed into space and tested.

Looks silver to me too. Can't make out any design or lettering on it but it just gives out the vibe of a British or French milled silver coin of 1600s to mid 1700s. Though...I guess the sea could have really beaten up a U.S. quarter of the 1800's or early 1900's

Thanks for looking and replying, hey Coach I was thinking very old silver/shipwreck coin too. Hoping the little bit of design left might catch someones eye:icon_thumright:

With coins like this it might require six to eight pictures--- 3 to 4 rotation angles of the front, and 3 to 4 rotation angles of the back. Sometimes you have to have the coin rotated just right for the design element to make sense-- and all it takes a lot of times is one fairly discernable design element on one side. You mentioned "the little bit of design left," so maybe you see something I don't?
