Traces of the past

Hello everyone,
Just look at the stone plates I found yersteday . I know for
sure they were used in the 19th century as floor paviment.
Similar stones are placed in the sidewalk at an old historic-
preserved corner of our town. - Dated 1836 !

The other Pic shows a piece of old french ceramic floor.
These ones were imported from Marseille / France.
By that time (late 1800s) they were normally used in houses
patios / backyards.

Those ARE very cool!!
I'd be tearing up the yard looking for more
interesting history!
 

I spent time in Germany during the 1970's with the US Army. The history and people continue to fascinate me.

lol Thats what i was thinking. Take them up and detect under them!! Nice old finds in your own yard and yes History is very fascinating at least to me it is! HH Tom
 

Today I found at the place this very old CHAMPION
- FORD 2011 Spark Plug.
I guess it comes from The Ford "T"
the earliest models ::)
