after searching the beach for 5 hours of nothing, i decided to head toward the dune line on the way back to the car when i saw a large coin on top of the sand, THEN ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER, THEN FOUND 3 MORE WITH THE DETECTOR! heres what i found: 1968 BRITISH 10 NEW PENCE ELIZABETH II, ( 2 OF THESE) 1969 BRITISH 10 NEW PENCE ELIZ. II (2 OF THESE), 1971 2 POUND ELIZ. II , 1983 20 PENCE ELIZ. II, 1968 AUSTRALIAN 2 PENCE ELIZ. II, 1968 AUSTRALIAN 2 PENCE ELIZ. II , 1966 AUSTRALIAN 2 PENCE ELIZ. II, REPUBLICA ITALIANA L.100 1979, REPUBLICA ITALIANA L.50 1977, DER NEDERLANDEN KONINGEN 10 CT 1975, HONG KONG CENT 1979 ELIZ. II , QUEEN ELIZ. THE SECOND 10 CENTS HONG KONG 1977. HERE THEY ARE..... CLEANED.

Weird!! Any idea how thay got there, those type coins, and ON TOP? I went today and nothing one clad and a dime. Ist time trying Gulfshores AL. No need to go again.

Very strange! Was the dune washed out? Very strange to find different countries coins all together like that, and not find any US coins. Maybe a group of tourists sat there. Cool find!

i scrubbed those suckers with scour pad and soft scrub, the info came right from the coins.
