Treasure Hunting in the Vancover area

I might be going to the Vancover area this weekend depending on the WX. Is metel detecting pretty munch open say in the Vancover langley area? I would also like to hunt up in Stanley Park is that open?

Hi midnightcaller, When are you going to be in Langley? My wife & I will be passing through the Lower mainland near the end of Aug.
The area has sure expanded in building etc... I'm originally from there and now I'm trying to remember any/all good spots.
I've never detected there yet, so I'm looking forward to going.
I've thought of a few possibilities, I'm hoping an old friend still lives on an old home stead thats been in his family for years, is in the fort Langley area. I know some of the area's are considered historical, so tread lightly.

If you are in the are around same time, maybe we could MD together if you like.
