Don't buy the map. The gold was in a cave on Mona Island.

By any chance did you happen to go about 1/4 mile to the left of the main anchorage, by water ? There is a cave that is only visable at low tide. If you ahppen to go back to Mona and find this cave you will also find pieces of a very old shovel there. The cave isn't huge.
