I'm assuming because it's the Blue Mountains this is referring to minerals. Coal in particular.
 

I Don't know of any Coal mines on the Blue Mountain. Possibly Zinc. At least not near me.

The Blue Mountain here is Best known for French & Indian War Forts.
& The appellation Trail, & Indians attacking everyone to the North of it,
and on occasion south. Oh & Big Foot
