I have been getting Brinks boxes pretty much since I began CRHing. Since my Brinks boxes have been so awful for the past month or so, I decided to get a couple of boxes from one of my banks who gets CWI rolls.

They were just as bad: two boxes yielded 2- 40%ers and a 1987 S in good shape.

I think us CRHers have removed all the silver from the half dollar supply in my area. With silver prices so low it makes it seem even more like a waste of time.

At least business has been booming lately (knock on wood), so I can buy up some .999 bars while the price is still low. Who knows, it could go even lower in the near term???

It dipped quite a bit today... so going lower isn't out of the question. :P

I don't really mind if it does drop a bit. It may turn out in the end to be a bad choice, but I have added considerably to my silver position since the recent drop in silver prices.

None of the fundamentals have changed, so I don't worry too much. The fed still keeps printing money like there is no tomorrow (not really paper dollars, but computer digits that represent dollars), so inflation is still gonna be with us for awhile at least.

I figure gold and silver have been money for thousands of years, and all paper currencies that are not backed by gold or silver (called fiat) have eventually failed or gone to hyperinflation. Recent examples, Argentina and Zimbabwe.
