Any idea what the pseudo Maltese cross is? It looks like brass sheet stock that has been milled, or maybe that's routed to get the cuts out of it.

Was told it?s southern cross of honor or somthjng

I would think if that were correct, it would be made better. Looks 20th century machine made, maybe late 19th.

Prob the spots trashy for sure. We got some flat buttons and lots of pottery. Suppose to be a fort there
