Got out into the mountains again in gold rush areas. Didn't get anything spectacular but did get a few odd and ends and maybe a silver/silver plated pendent, can't tell no silver mark but came out like new and has the high frequency noise silver makes when dropped. Lots of bullets some look older mind you old California wise not southern state wise lol. A few unimpressive buttons, and a brass thingy with a 7 on it. I think maybe from a thing for printing or something. Nothing impressive this trip but was nice to get out well beyond it being hot and smokey out. 20210829_162022.webp20210829_162032.webp20210829_162139.webp20210829_162132.webp20210829_162111.webp20210829_162114.webp20210829_162117.webp20210829_162039.webp20210829_162048.webp20210829_162224.webp

Also most of these things were not easy to get lol the dirt out there is like rock this time of year there are times I give up on certain signals because the dirt is way too hard. Very draining and frustrating.

John glad to see you are getting the Deus dialed in,,
Keep up the good work..

I'm getting there but just been running the highest frequency and doing older spots in hopes of finding small silver and gold objects missed by those with less experience and have machines that don't have the super high frequency I can run on my Deus with my hf coil. Gets slamming signals on silver and gold even thin stuff and small. Trade off is foil hits real hard, aluminum, thin and really small iron along with big iron.

Nice finds, and that pendant sure looks like silver to me, congrats!
I unfortunately don't think it's silver but lol whatever it is made of they did a good job of making it look silver. I see a seam on it, the link on tip is iron, it doesn't feel heavy and a spot on front center wise looks to have some sort of corrosion. So really no good finds today lol oh well. Nice!!! Congrats!!!

The seam on the pendant could be from being pressed to get the design on the front and back. It looks good to me also. I would pull off the split ring that is leaving the rust spot. It might be Aluminum? that could be why it is lightweight.

Nice finds!! Thanks for sharing!!

Looks like a satisfying hunt to me. That brass side-in 7 piece is intriguing. Good stuff!

Great outing! Congrats.

I'd be wearing that pendant , all happy with the recovery. St. Patrick had a rough go of it in his later teens as a youth. Besides that relatability (for some) , it's a relic recovered to remember the hunt!

A little too heavy for aluminum I'm thinking plated with some sort of inexpensive metal. Perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about though because when I drop it makes a high tone noise and only aluminum and silver really do that so maybe you are right just aluminum and aluminum will often come out of the ground shining.

I'm thinking a pressing plate for printing. I've seen a few and it closely resembles them.

Not a printing plate or the 7 would be backwards.

That is indeed true I had been thinking that. Probably just part of something than
