Trout Stream Farm Finds

[Gypsy Heart]

My friend Helen is renovating an old house along a troutstream. Went there yesterday to help and detect the farm.
Found some nice things in the rock piles.Found the sole plate for the boot and couldnt figure out what it was for,then found three heel plates and it all came together. Found the remaining sole plate under the back porch with the little lighter. The lighter is littler than a quarter. They are bulldozing the barns and this old holster was in the rafters.
This is going to be a good spot to detect as it was one of the first farms in area. Then the neighbor guy came over and said that I could come detect his adjoining two farms....Yeehaw

Are there any markings on the holster? It looks to be in nice shape, and depending on how old and who made it, could be worth some $$$!

No There are not any marks on it. The little button is made out of an antler. It is in perfect condition . Any ideas?

gypsyheart, I also don't know how you find time to do all you do! I've heard a mother and wife's work was never done. Yet look at all you
manage to do. And on top of all that your smart. What a gal. I think your one in a million. Keep going as you are and there's no reason why you can't find the big one if you haven't already. Nice search and recovery work.That old farm was hiding some real treasures.
Sounds like those sites should keep you busy this fall.I couldn't imagine running around all day with those iron sole and heel plates on. Best of luck and HH!

Your killing me GH!!! I want to go hunting with you. WOW I would have passed out if I found a holster like that. They go for about $25. The military issue was black as far as I know. I would like to see the back top of the holster. The inside part. Is it smooth or rough? I think I will be a stow- away and go back home with you in Oct.

Burdie,where did you get 25.00 from? I might be interested in several for that.Have you noticed the outline of type of weapon that was carried? I'm no expert with firearms,I only have 26 at the present time but I have had many many over the years.On the right forum or at the right gun show where real collectors are,not just pawnshop sellers,who could put it with the proper firearm,that holster would bring a much better price IMO.
