My friend George and I both use the Shadow X5 with the spider coil. We've noticed George's coil is starting to lose the bottom part as seen in the photos. My question is should he remove the loose epoxy/resin bottom and fill it in with new epoxy or try to remove it all and put new epoxy? He has a coil cover that fits loosely and comes off. I was thinking maybe removing the loose stuff, filling it back in. After it dries maybe glueing the coil cover on permanently. The coil operates fine right now.
It seems it would be pretty hard to get off the remaining material.
What's your opinion?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
