Went camping this weekend and found about 11 dollars in clad, 3 wheats and couple toy cars...but the strangest thing i found was the cap to a wine bottle
let me explain...the camp ground had a baseball field i wanted to check out but my dad hates detecting in grass...so i dragged him out anyway...we were there for 5 minutes and passed over about 30 pulltab signals until we finally got a coin signal...I dug down 4 inches and saw the cap of a bottle. I sighed and was ready to throw it when i realized..."this is heavy" So i turned it over and pearing at me from the inside of the cap was George Washington. I tried to pry the coin out but the edges of the cap had been smashed inward to prevent the coin from coming out.
we got back to the campsite and my dad took a screwdriver to the cap and split it open along the sides. out popped 3 quarters a nickel and a penny. I'd have a picture but my camera is crap and my dad already destroyed the cap. oh well, HH
